The Washington Town & Country Fair takes place Wednesday-Sunday during the first full week of August. The Optimist Waffle stand is a busy place during that time. Members make homemade waffles which are sliced warm and a slab of vanilla ice cream is sandwiched between the waffles.  There are also chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches, root beer floats, brownie sundaes and of course roasted corn.  Another great item is the refillable ice tea cup.  After your initial cup purchase you can bring it back to our stand throughout the fair and have it refilled with iced tea for only $1!
